Totally satisfied with these guys. We had two unvented gas fireplaces in our home we bought 4 yrs ago. We never used them. We decided to get some bids on placing electric inserts. When John came out to do measurements he offered a suggestion on options available, using electric upstairs and installing a vented gas unit in the basement where it is cooler. He also provided the most economic bid for the materials and labor. Materials were available when he said they would be and Nick did both changeouts on the same day. Nick gave a great overview of how the units worked answering all my questions. Again, couldn’t be happier with the professional and knowledgeable work they both provided throughout the process.

We purchased our home 3 years and had an old gas log fireplace that was dated, inefficient, and had no blower. John was super helpful as we looked at gas inserts. He gave us all the options, but didn't try to upsell us. The insert has been a great addition, it looks great and warms the room nicely. What most impressed me working with them was John. He works long hours to make sure clients are happy and is also on the lower end of pricing. I had a concern with our chimney 2 years after the install. John sent someone out for free (even though he didn't have to) to check it out, and they showed me it was not an install issue but something related to the chimney design at the time. If anyone ever asks where to go for a fireplace, I tell them they have to see Fireplace by Design first.
